Sister Chronic is a website created to share my experience navigating life with several chronic illnesses. Over the course of my diagnoses, I started collecting research and journaling as a way to help manage my illnesses. I wanted to create a space to put this information, in hopes it will help someone else. My focus is on psoriatic arthritis (PsA), endometriosis (endo), and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and how these conditions intersect. I hope to share resources, personal experiences, and connect with other individuals who are living with similar conditions.

Sister Chronic is written from my perspective as a 30-something, white-passing, cisgender woman in Canada. My chronic conditions are also often invisible, though not always. (I go on about myself in my About page, if you are interested.) I recognize the privilege inherent in these aspects of my life and hope to give a voice to others as part of this website as well. If I post something that is problematic or particularly clueless, please let me know. I’m always learning and am well past the point of needing to be “right.”

While social media is a great tool that I also use, I have found that a more formal website is more suited to my speed and purposes. I am on Instagram, Twitter, and to a lesser extent, Pinterest. Feel free to connect with me there too.
